Sparring! Is the ultimate form of human expression because all your senses are heightened and your entire trio of the human brain – the logical, emotional and instinctive (gut feeling) are activated.
We spar each class and we spar when we are tired, towards the end of the Krav Maga Self Defense (Bengaluru, India) session to really see what happens when our brain is shutting off and we have little left to fight the odds. There is a totally unfair game out there; you cannot expect fair play on the roads when it is a matter of life and death for you and/or your loved ones, there are real weapons involved and there is this situational aspect waiting to end up in the police station or the hospital.
Krav Maga Self Defense (Bengaluru, India) Sparring is the total of all individual qualities – defend, attack, move and be aware of your surroundings. We don’t spar bare knuckles in the class, we use padded gloves and a padded helmet to take multiple impacts and get the feel of getting hit! Because trust me, getting hit and being ok with it is something we all should learn esp when dealing with unfair crime out in the world.

Mr. Kiran Baliga Review
Franklin Joseph Krav Maga Self Defense (Bengaluru, Karnataka) Practitioner / Warrior, India
32 Years old, Technical Lead
On my 2nd day of the Israeli Military Krav Maga Self Defense (Bengaluru, India) class, I was put up in a sparring (fight) situation with multiple other members who were relatively more experienced than me.
Yes, I was wearing my Krav Maga Self Defense (Bengaluru, India) helmet, but there was no anxiousness within me, due to the basic mental conditioning training provided by Guruji Franklin Joseph.
My only task was to solve the problems, although simulated on that day, might one day occur on the streets.
I was equipped with the knowledge of the basic posture which protected my weak points like groin, ribs and cheeks, and hence was able to defend myself to the best of my ability.
I signed up for weekend Krav Maga Self Defense (Bengaluru, India) classes, as I felt I won’t be able to give it time, but after 2 days of my Krav Maga Self Defense classes, I have been wishing the Krav Maga Self Defense (Bengaluru, India) classes were more frequent.
While I was practising with the boxing bags, I was confident about my punches and kicks.
But during Krav Maga Self Defense (Bengaluru, India) sparring session, when the opponents got dynamic and also had the capability to strike when my guards were down, realised how much harder I must train.
Also post sparring, I realised I am more comfortable in defending than going on the offensive. This was another helpful learning about my mindset and character. Would have to tweak my mind to be offensive when the situation demands. These learnings would help me prepare my technique and mind in the future classes.
Safety Specialist Guruji Franklin Joseph is an amazing teacher with real life experiences and I wish to learn the most from his experience and expertise in Krav Maga Self Defense (Bengaluru, India).
