Krav Maga Outdoor Boot Camp Review:
The boot camp started with some wonderful strawberry picking which all of us relished; picking and munching a few.
We commenced the outdoor Krav Maga Self Defence training conducted by Guruji Franklin Joseph on our way back from strawberry farm which was intriguing and distinct from our regular indoor training. Guruji Franklin Joseph, CEO of Indian Institute of Strategic Threat-Intelligence Analysis and Combat Tactical Science, thought us some action-packed moves to combat Krav Maga car-jacking and Krav Maga car hostage situations. The tactics were phenomenal and life-saving. Richa, one our Krav Maga Self Defense (Bengaluru, India) Warrior figured out a way to open the tailgate if one is trapped inside which was incredible.
The Krav Maga boot camp organised by Guruji Franklin Joseph was enjoyable and helped us foster some brilliant tactics at the same time. Guruji Franklin Joseph, as amazing as always, ensured safety and competency which well and truly is an art and required years of experience.
Last but not the least, shifting the Krav Maga dead body (game) was jollity for both the teams. It’s an honour to be part of the Franklin’s Krav Maga Self Defence Warriors family.

Krav Maga Outdoor Boot Camp Review:
If there is one skill everyone should master, it is that of analysing crime situations and having the power to neutralise it. Nothing builds more confidence than mastering pain, overcoming fear and self-doubts and facing adversity head on.
That is exactly what we learn from Guruji Franklin Joseph, CEO of Indian Institute of Strategic Threat-Intelligence Analysis and Combat Tactical Science who has trained the military warriors of our country. Last Sunday March 19th, we had the chance to test ourselves in the outdoor Krav Maga boot camp at the outskirts of Bengaluru, India. The day started with all of us plucking fresh strawberries in the farm as a group. Later we halted at unconventional places for combat training. The first one was about moving in confined places efficiently while taking care of the things around us and manoeuvrings in the chaos. There were drills which had us place agile footing in the natural muddy trails while keeping our guard and moving like Krav Maga Self Defense (Bengaluru, India) warriors.
The best part was yet to come when Guruji made us learn how to get out of a bondage situation, tying our hands with duct tape and teaching us how to get out of that lock. This was followed by neutralizing the knife on throat situation when sitting inside the car. Great insights on that drill. Thirdly, we had our hands tied again and made to get into the car trunk and get locked out simulating a hostage situation.
While it was fun, we learnt a lot how to trust ourselves by focusing on ‘solutions’ – untying and opening the trunk and also trusting our fellow men when locked together. This was then followed by a common hostage/rape simulation where criminal can throw you into your own car when you’re bending down and taking your stuff out or putting in.
We learnt how to neutralise that situation as a warrior. Lastly it was pain conditioning time and nothing could be better than taking back to back punches on the gut from our fellow warriors which is one step forwards towards learning to deal with pain.
Overall, it was a fulfilled Sunday with lots of fun and learning. Big thanks to Guruji Franklin Joseph and lucky to have been learning from a person who has trained the best Krav Maga Self Defense (Bengaluru, India) warriors in the world.

Krav Maga Outdoor Boot Camp Review:
Thank you Guruji Franklin Joseph, CEO of Indian Institute of Strategic Threat-Intelligence Analysis and Combat Tactical Science and everyone for making today memorable and educative. I am incredibly grateful to have had this experience. Can’t express how much I will miss the Krav Maga Self Defense (Bengaluru, India) classes.
I found the Krav Maga Self Defense (Bengaluru, India) drills and tactics we learnt today really insightful. I’ve learnt that there is no reason to be afraid of having your hands being tied, because as long as you have presence of mind and the will to do the tactic, mentally your hands are not in fact all that tied. Learning how to make your way out of a car truck was also so much fun. The Krav Maga Self Defense (Bengaluru, India) tag/biscuit game too in the broken building too really showed me how much harder everything can be when there are obstacles in the environment. Overall, I can’t think of how it could have been better, except for me not forgetting to bring duct tape.

Krav Maga Outdoor Boot Camp Review:
The outdoor training was a unique experience, one that I would only get with the Franklin Joseph Krav Maga Self Defense Bengaluru, India Academy . For the short period of time that we did it, it helped expose us all to more real-life scenarios, where outside of our own comfort zones, practically anything can happen.
The Krav Maga Self Defense (Bengaluru, India) Touch Game we played amongst the rubble of a broken house, taught us all how in a fraction of a second, things can change when your guard is down. It showed that getting hurt is almost inevitable – there will be chaos, there will be pain in real life – but what matters is to keep going and not lose focus.
The ‘pass the dead body game’ challenged us to think outside of the box and handle crisis situations rather than be helpless. It made us all to work as a team – and forced us to have trust and depend on those around us to work as a team.
The Krav Maga car-jack drill – with a knife to the throat when seated in a vehicle – is the most practical example we have done so far, where we are constricted within a small space, and with limited movements, shows us how to turn the tables on an attacker.
The Krav Maga hostage situation in the car trunk was an eye-opening experience – one would think the victim is at the mercy of the attacker, with hands tied and shut in the back of a car – but there is always a solution to every problem – and if we can just keep calm, the answer is right there in front of our eyes.
All in all, it was the most unique and fulfilling day, and I hope to have many more such with Guruji Franklin Joseph. With all his training, we keep reinforcing in ourselves our own ability to handle pain, chaos, and come out of hostile and life-threatening situations as ‘warriors’, and come out of our own self-imposed ‘victim’ mentality.
