TEDx – Combat Science & Self Defense by Guruji Franklin Joseph
For a very long time, self-defense has been practiced as an art form to protect oneself and others we care about. However, little is known about how much science affects our behavior. Krav Maga Israeli Military Self Defense & Combat Science Specialist Guruji Franklin Joseph describes the science of combat and what we should know to be prepared for possibly dangerous scenarios.
Combat sciences and safety empowerment are areas of expertise for Franklin Joseph, CEO of the Indian Institute of Strategic Threat-Intelligence Analysis and Combat Tactical Science. He is referred to by his Krav Maga Self Defense practitioners & peers as Dr. Safety or Guruji. Mr. Joseph is one of the few people who recognizes and understands crime as a dynamic, ever-changing plague on society. He came to the conclusion that the only way to balance the crime was to change the response to something adaptive.
His primary goal is to give women the resources they require to overcome any obstacle, whether it originates from within or outside the family. He uses psychological strategies to get into the oppressor’s head and respond appropriately. This presentation was given at a TEDx event, which was freely planned by the neighborhood and followed the format of the TED conference.
In order to protect ourselves and our loved ones, self-defense has long been practiced as an art form. However, we seldom acknowledge the profound impact that science has on all we do. Guruji Franklin Joseph, our combat science specialist, outlines the science of combat and what we need to know to be ready for potentially hazardous situations.
